These Terms of Use govern your use of Nomu ("we", "us"), operated by [Your legal name], an individual based in the United Arab Emirates. By creating an account or using Nomu, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Financial Disclaimer.

Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use Nomu. You may hold one account, must provide accurate information, and are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

What Nomu is

Nomu is an educational and informational tool: lessons, a manual portfolio tracker, a retirement planner, and an AI assistant. Nomu is a tracker only — we do not execute trades, hold or move money, or connect to your brokerage.

Not financial advice

Nomu does not provide investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, and creates no advisory or fiduciary relationship. The full terms are in our Financial Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms. You are responsible for your own decisions.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use Nomu for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these Terms;
• scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract data, or copy, resell, or redistribute our content or data;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code, or interfere with, overload, or disrupt the service;
• circumvent, disable, or attempt to bypass plan tiers, usage limits, or paywalls;
• misuse the AI assistant — including to generate unlawful, harmful, or abusive content, or to build or train a competing product, dataset, or model;
• infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy, or upload others' personal data without a lawful basis.

We may suspend or terminate access for breach.

Subscriptions and billing

Nomu offers a free tier, a trial, and a paid Premium subscription. Trials may convert to a paid subscription, and the trial flow may move you between tiers as described in the app at sign-up.

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor and renew automatically until you cancel. By subscribing you authorise these recurring charges. Prices are shown at checkout and may be exclusive of taxes; any taxes are determined by, and are your responsibility according to, the law of your location. We will give you reasonable notice before any price change takes effect. Cancellation and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

If you subscribe through a mobile app store (for example Apple's App Store or Google Play), that store handles billing, renewals, and refunds, and the store's own terms also apply and may override these Terms for that purchase.

Intellectual property

We own Nomu and its content, software, and branding, including the "Nomu" name and logo. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Nomu for your own non-commercial use under these Terms. You keep ownership of the content you enter, and you grant us a licence to host and process it as needed to operate the service. If you send us feedback, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use it.

AI features

AI responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete; they are general information, not advice, and you must verify them before relying on them. AI features may be subject to usage limits, and we do not guarantee their availability.

Third-party content

Nomu includes market data and other content from third parties, provided "as is". We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of third-party content.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nomu is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including any warranty of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or investment losses; and (b) our total liability for any claim relating to Nomu will not exceed the total amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you, and nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your mandatory consumer rights.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and costs arising from your misuse of Nomu or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

Termination

You may stop using Nomu and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the service or other users. On termination, your right to use Nomu ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (such as IP, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) survive.

Changes

We may change Nomu and these Terms. If a change is material, we will notify you and, where required, ask you to accept the updated Terms. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [Emirate], without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your own country.

General

If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms are the entire agreement between us about Nomu. You may not assign them; we may assign them to a successor.
